Dear Colleagues,

The 5th Pan Arab Liver Transplant Society Congress was held this year in Qatar with great success. This year’s congress invited more than 100 international and regional experts in the field. More than 500 professionals have registered to attend and share their experiences during this event. Overs 100 abstract were submitted for either oral or poster presentations during the congress.

The congress program included reporting sessions by Arab liver transplant programs, state-of-the-art lectures, organ donation sessions, roundtable discussions, free paper presentations, poster presentations in addition to some social activities. Awards were offered for best oral and poster presentations.

The congress was held in collaboration with both The Transplantation Society (TTS) and the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS); both societies were represented by their presidents who attended and actively contributed to the congress activities.

During the congress, Prof. Mohammed Al-Sebayel handed over PALTS presidency to Prof. Ibrahim Mostafa. Also during the congress, the General Assembly Meeting has elected a new PALTS council
